I finished University on 5 September, 1997, and went to California on 7 September, 1997, for Siemens-Nixdorf (Germany). I had been in the USA for 6 months before, during these two trips (plus two weeks in Florida over New Year 96/97), while I was a student. I worked at Oracle for 9 months, until 12 June, 1998. On the following Monday, 15 June, 1998, I began my new assignment in Pleasanton, just behind the hills in the East of the Bay, at PeopleSoft.
| My first temporary Home in Redwood City, during the Oracle assignment and my second home in San Ramon for the PeopleSoft job. |

| Miscellaneous |
Almost all pictures referenced or shown on these pages have been taken by my colleagues
who happen to have purchased digital cameras, the Kodak DC 20, which is currently the cheapest
one available. This also means that the quality is not overwhelming, but it sure is enough
for this purpose, to get something on the web fast.
Update (Aug 98): The above statement was only true until very early 1998. After that I
made the pictures using 'conventional' photography.
