Call me number 4. I found this site after looking at EQL for Linux and deciding it would not solve my problem.

Here is what I want to do. Any tips would be appreciated.

We have an account with an ISP (over a 56K modem). We send e-mail and access netnews from their servers. They only allow access to these servers from IP addresses within their assigned IP address range.

We can also dial into work (over a 64K ISDN line). They also have e-mail and netnews servers with the same restrictions. The work site is also behind a firewall and some resources are only available using a dialin line.

What we want to do is make connections to both our ISP and work sites, and have most general purpose TCP/IP traffic (www, ftp, etc.) get load balanced over the two links. But when sending e-mail or accessing netnews, those packets go over the link to the valid provider. That is when sending e-mail using our ISP, the e-mail goes only over the link connected to the ISP.

Can this be done?

Thanks, Brian Beuning
